Digging In The Dirt

I’m digging drainage ditches once again.
I start about 6:30 AM before it gets too hot.
I last about an hour and a half — if I’m lucky.
Hopefully, I’ll have it done before the next big rain.
My only question is why is there so much gravel where I’m digging?
Hell, if I know!

Drainage pipe project 99% complete. Need another bag of gravel to put around the drainage area, and then grass seed. Tomorrow & tomorrow.

Right now … I’m pooped. Was working to finish this up from 6:30 AM, while it was cooler. Finished around 11:00 AM.

The most difficult part was getting the slope correct. Plus having to fit all the connectors, gaffer taping all the connections, and then back-filling. Lots of strenuous work. But I had to finish it before the next big rain.

Really had to push myself to get this done. I’d work for as long as I could —sometimes for only 5-10 minutes, rest, and right back at it.

But now it’s done — almost.

Plus I met my new next door neighbor, Barb. She just bought the house next to mine. The place was on the market for over a year. Hoping she does a nice job fixing it up. 👍
